You are Invited Washington State NOW Officer Elections
All officer positions are open and the Nomination Committee is seeking candidates. Officers are elected bi-annually by a majority vote of the members present and voting at the May 5 State Conference in Olympia. Candidates for the officers positions must be a NOW member 30 days prior to the election. All officers have line items in the budget which cover expenses, including expenses related to attending board meetings. So please consider running for office. THANKS! Officer Position Descriptions: Legislative Coordinator(s) shall be a voting member of the State Board; coordinate State/National legislative activities; supervise the activities of the State NOW lobbyist; issue legislative alerts and updates to chapter; and perform other such duties as shall be delegated by the State Conference or State Board. Secretary(s) shall be a voting member of the State Board; keep all minutes of all meetings of the State Conference, State Board, and Executive Committee; supply copies of these minutes to all State officers, State chapters and Regional National Board members; be custodian of the records of the organization; and perform such other duties as shall be delegated by the State Conference or State Board. Fiscal Manager(s) shall be a voting member of the State Board; be responsible for the financial operation and management and maintain the financial records of the organization; be responsible for the preparation of annual report for presentation at the State Conference; and perform other duties as shall be delegated by the State Conference or State Board. The Eastern and Western Vice Presidents shall in their respective part of the State be voting member of the State Board; be responsible for encouraging membership development, convening new chapters and marinating chapter vitality in the State in cooperation with the President(s); and perform other such duties as delegated by the State Conference or State Board.
